Tim Ronan – Vocals / Guitar
Born in Toronto, ON, Raised in Colgan, On.
Tim has music in his blood. Music surrounds Tim everyday. “If my guitar doesn’t get played everyday, we both hurt a little.” – Tim Ronan
Tim’s great great great Uncle John Edward Ronan was the founder of St. Michael’s Choir school in Toronto in 1937. Although Tim did not attend St. Mike’s, it has produced such greats as John McDermott and Michael Burgess. Tim has played in numerous bands and has a start on a solo musical career with his first CD release in 2008.
Ryan Scanlan - Guitar
Ryan Scanlan was born and raised in Pictou Nova Scotia. He began playing in clubs on a weekly basis before he was even of age. Ryan left home at the age of 18 to attend St. F.X and obtain his B. Mus degree. After two years of study Ryan decided to move to Halifax to start performing full-time. Joining Forces with Fortune’s Hand as the new lead guitarist in 2006 he began wowing crowds and breaking hearts all over eastern Canada. Now as one quarter of the new big hit Big Thirsty, Ryan is prepared to rock all socks. Playing fun and energetic music for any event, Big Thirsty can bring it. In addition to his mad skills and cool glasses, Ryan has become a Music Instructor at The Canadian Conservatory sharing his talents with his students.
Luke Morris - Bass / Vocals
Luke Morris is a native Haligonian who has been making his living playing the local music scene for over 15 years. He has played and recorded with many Maritime acts, from cover bands like Crossroads and Shameless, to original artists such as Lenny Gallant and Mary Jane Lamond. He brings a unique presence to the bass, playing with rock solid time, conviction, and intensity.
At the age of 15, Luke was introduced to the bass by his Dad, Donnie "Zipper" Morris. Although initially encouraging Luke to play the guitar, Donnie eventually accepted that the bass held more interest for his son and proceeded to teach him a solid foundation of picking, plucking and slapping the bass. Luke ran with it and the rest as they say, is history.
Rob Mattatall - Drums Vocals
From Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Rob preforms for the joy and plays for the love of music. Starting out in school concert bands, Rob progressed quickly to the drum kit and hasn't stood up since. Playing professionally around Halifax for 12 years now Rob has been apart of several successful Maritime acts. The Pools, an original rock band which released their Cd Side of the Road to great reviews and Several coast awards including single of the year. Rob was also a member of the Halifax group Fortunes Hand playing pop, rock and celtic styles of music. Rob lends his voice for such bands like The Tragically Hip, The Steve Miller Band and Johnny Cash. Combining his vocal and drum ablilties he creates a sound that makes you want to rock the party. Rob plays Sonor Drums, Los Cabos Drumsticks, and Zildjian Cymbols
